Adding Your First Source
Sources are the foundation of FeedKiwi. They’re the channels, feeds, and accounts that provide your content. Once added, FeedKiwi automatically checks for new items and adds them to your feed.
How to Add a Source
- Navigate to the Sources page from the sidebar
- Click Add Source
- Choose the source type (YouTube, Podcast, RSS, etc.)
- Paste the URL of the channel or feed
- Optionally add tags and star the source
- Click Add
Supported Source Types

| Podcast | RSS feed URL (find it in your podcast app’s share menu) |
| RSS/Blog | Blog URL or RSS feed URL |

Tips for Getting Started
- Start small: Add 5-10 of your most important sources first. You can always add more later.
- Use tags: Tag sources by topic (e.g., “tech”, “cooking”, “fitness”) so you can filter and set goals later.
- Star your favorites: Starred sources appear first in your feed, and their items can be auto-added to your queue.
What Happens Next
After adding sources, click Update Feed to fetch the latest content. New items will appear in your Feed, ready for you to triage into your Queue or Shelf.
