RSS & Blogs
RSS feeds let you follow blogs, news sites, and other websites that publish articles. FeedKiwi reads the RSS feed and imports new articles into your feed.
Adding an RSS/Blog Source
- Go to Sources > Add Source
- Select RSS as the type
- Paste the blog URL or RSS feed URL
- Click Add
FeedKiwi will attempt to find the RSS feed automatically if you paste a regular blog URL. If it can’t find one, you’ll need to provide the direct RSS feed URL.
Finding RSS Feeds
- Look for an RSS icon on the blog
- Check the blog’s footer for a “Subscribe” or “RSS” link
- Try appending
/feed,/rss, or/atom.xmlto the blog URL - Use a browser extension that detects RSS feeds on pages
What Gets Imported
Each RSS item typically includes:
- Title and description/summary
- Link to the full article
- Published date
- Thumbnail (if available in the feed)
Reading Articles
Click on an article item to open it in a new tab on the original website. After reading, come back to FeedKiwi and mark it as completed.
Tips
- RSS works great for tech blogs, news sites, company blogs, and personal blogs
- Tag your RSS sources to categorize them (e.g., “tech-news”, “design”, “personal”)
- Use the estimated reading time (if available) to plan your reading sessions
